52 Bullocks & a Night Away from the Pilliga

It’s been a massive month on the road for BEST Leather Care!

In September, Fonz and Charlie kicked things off heading north to Australian Western Makers in Dalby—rolling out the swags near Coonabarabran along the way (and deciding against camping in the Pilliga after listening to a bit too much Slim Dusty!). Having the best old-world makers together in one room was nothing short of phenomenal.

Next up, we headed to Handmade Canberra, proving you can take the boy out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the boy! From there, we rolled into Henty Field Days, where we celebrated 2 years since launching BEST Leather Care. Nothing beats past customers stopping by just to say g’day and share how much they love the product.

We wrapped up the month at the Barellan Working Clydesdale Festival—our first time attending, and what an absolute highlight. Seeing 52 bullocks yoked up and working together for the first time since 1925 gave us real goosebumps.

While we were in Barellan, a fella from Coonabarabran stopped by our stall to grab a tin. When we told him the boys were teasing Nat about rolling out swags in the Pilliga, he shook his head and warned us that locals definitely don't advise it. Another bloke wandered over and said much the same - don't tempt fate! So there you go, Slim Dusty’s track "Something In The Pilliga" is definitely solid advice!
